I was planning to go, but my neice is graduating high school on the 17th, so we have to go to NH again.

I went last year. Great show!!

I will try to make it this year. Might swing by to watch SCCC play against URI O boy! its almost 19 years since the club first played URI at the old pitch in Middletown, we got thrashed, but we went on to win their invitational tournament in the Fall of 93.. From then on the tournament moved over to its new home in Middletown, RI " The St.Columba's Invitational Tournament".

I bit of useless information... not sure how it relates to MG's!

First off, I haven't been to a British Motor Cars of New England event in decades and know nothing about the current configuration of their club, but thought that this might be interesting drive! cool smiley

On Sunday, June 10, 2012, the BMCNE are meeting at 10:00 am at the gazebo in Scituate, RI (RT 116 & Institute Lane) to drive to Mrs. Bridges' Pantry in South Woodstock, CT (292 RT169/Somers Turnpike).

Years ago, while driving to the various events at Lime Rock Park in my Sprite, I remember some nice roads around that area! thumbs up

Anyone else interested in going? If you're east of Providence perhaps we can meet up and travel to Scituate together. PM/email me.

Justa quick update, looks like we'll have at least 6 MGE members attending the 56th Annual Newport Motorcar Festival on Father's Day, Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Portsmouth Abbey on Cory's Lane in Portsmouth, RI. There will probably be even more of us, but at least Dave (RIRaven), Jim (jdevol), Frank (fmotta14), Greg (gmottamgdriver), Joe (jsabatino), and myself (oldredsel) should be there.

Dave and myself will be meeting in the morning to drive over via the Sakonnet River Bridge, and Jim will be heading over the Mt. Hope Bridge. PM us if you want to join up! cool smiley

Hi, Everybody-

Rick Crosby (oldredsel)gave me a call and asked that I post this since his computer has met with an untimely demise and he has temporarily lost access to MGE!

The registration for the Portsmouth Abbey show on Sunday starts at 9AM, and the show runs until 2PM.

Rick and I will be meeting for breakfast at one of New England's better breakfast joints, The Barn in Adamsville,RI, at 8AM and leaving from there at 9AM to make the twenty minute drive to Portsmouth Abbey. We hope to be joined by the Mottas who have to drive past The Barn to go to the Abbey, and we certainly would encourage anyone else who would like to join us either for breakfast or just the ride. Google the barn adamsville ri for directions.

Wanted to go, but the truth of the matters is that a twisted my ankle rather badly a few weeks back. Woke up Sunday morning and it was acting up. Don't think I could have stud around for a few hours even with my brace on. Did venture out later in the afternoon and to watch the Germany v Denmark soccer game. I rather nice BRG drove past the Fstnet pub heading into town.

July 1, 2012, Sunday Afternoon MA Southcoast/RI East Bay Ice Cream Run! cool smiley

OK, we've a handful of people interested in doing a Sunday afternoon Sakonnet Point/Gray's Ice Cream run. We'll do a 30 mile or so back roads run to get there, but the route is flexible and/or we can extend it to include another stop or two if desired. thumbs up

So the plan is to meet up at 2:30 pm at the old Saturn dealership right off I-195 (Exit 12 or 12A) on Comfort Lane in Dartmouth, MA. It's the parking lot right behind the Mobil station and the McDonalds Restaurant on Faunce Corner Road. (Where we started and finished the May 5th Coastal MG Tour.)

Who else is in? The weather looks great! cool smiley

Due to the heat this afternoon, we first decided to delay our run until later in the day thumbs up

. . . and then the thunderstorms rolled in! thumbs down

Jeez! You guys are sweltering and we are having rain, rain and more rain. Been to two car rallys in the last three weekends, both with rain the whole weekend. Good thing my tent is dry. Here I am on the show grounds at Glamis Castle last Saturday.
