I see the weather forecast is calling for snow on the Coquihalla by Wednesday. Sure hope it warms up by Friday as I am NOT trying snow in a car with 285-width summer tires. Talk about a 350 bhp toboggan.

Just put a Ski Rack on the back

Second Thoughts, Having driven the 'Coq' twice over the last couple of days maybe water skis would be more appropriate
Remember to put your best Vancouver brolly in the trunkgrinning smiley

Wax and Rain-X will repel the drips.

It's the potential of a large assembly of flakes that has me concerned.winking smiley

You could always take the canyon up to kamloops
Or take abowl and some milk and eat the 'flakes' in the rest area

Just doing the last minute trip planning and want to check a few details if possible:
-what time is the Friday night meet & greet? I assume it's at the Best Western.
- how far from the hotel is the show itself, i.e, easy walking distance?

Hi there. There is very little in Radium that you can't walk to and the Best western to the field is maybe a city block.

Registration is 4 to 7 with cocktails and bbq 7 to 9.
For the Calgary group we just arrived with a good hour delay with paving on the TransCanada and in and around Banff

Thanks. We are doing the direct drive tomorrow so it helps to know how fast I have to drive, depending on what time we get going in the morning.

Nicole and I wish everyone a great weekend at Radium for BritsBest 2016.

The show at MG 2016, Louisville, KY, yesterday, included over 800 MG's beginning with a 1929 Midget up to an MG SVS.
The day was hot, 95f and very humid, so we were taking breaks in the shade on a regular basis. A great setting and memorable day.

Today, Nicole and I are heading to Columbus, OH to visit friends until Sunday. Andy and Donna are staying in Louisville to do a bit more touring and exploring.
We expect to join again in Auburn, Indiana to visit the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg museum, then we begin the return trip with possibly a few stops to pick-up parts and photos for Andy's Moss Motoring challenge. We hope the heat wave is over otherwise we might detour to the Northwest Territories!!!

Have a great weekend cool smiley

800 MGs!!! Wonderful! Great to hear all is going well....

The Friday Calgary caravan is leaving from Humpty's @Hwy22 by 10am. Weather looks good but I hear construction traffic will delay us an hour. Stopping at Storm Mountain Lodge for lunch. Should be a good day. Show day looks to be occasionally wet but survivable.

Cheers!
Terrence

I know it's a week after the fact, but I want to thank and commend the Club for putting on a great event at Radium. Our first time there and thoroughly enjoyed it. I expect to be back, if not every year.

We got back last night after extending the trip to revisit some old haunts in Calgary. Had a good drive back by the southern route along Hwy 3 although I am a bit concerned about having triggered an ecological catastrophe- judging by the amount of crud I washed off the car, it looks like we exterminated half the bugs in the Canadian Rockies.

Mike.

If you missed the mass email, pictures are up!

Click here to view our new Google Photos album for BBC2016. This is currently under testing but should work. The gallery will open in a new window or tab.
Click here to view the Calgary MG Car Club Picasa Web Gallery. This contains all of our club's historical albums... we'll eventually get these migrated to new albums in Google Photos. The gallery will open in a new window or tab.

Thanks again to our sponsors, committee, volunteers and everyone that joined us for another great show!
See you next year....

Terrence
