We have had a great time so far, so good we've had no time to post to home, but finally here's an update.
2Midgets, 2 MGB's and one ERA Mini left Calgary on Tuesday the 8th bound for Vancouver Island for Brits On The Beach.

Trouble free save a broken fuel pump wire on the Bryant/Masri Midget requiring roadside attention west of Banff, and replacement of the battery in Andy's Midget after it consigned itself to doorstop status in the parking lot of the motel in Chilliwack, we arrived in Cowichan Bay ( our base for a week ) on Thursday afternoon. Our rented house affords comforts beyond the normal for us and the cars, and our host has a Citroen SM tucked away in the garage, and greeted us after arriving in a Mercedes 280 SL.
No British cars in his collection, but appreciative of ours.

A couple of days relaxing by the pool now, with some short drives to explore the local shops and watering holes, before the show on Sunday in Ladysmith.

We've connected with old MG friends along the road out here, and will connect with more over the course of the next week as well as meet new ones, before starting our trip home via the southern interior of BC on Thursday.

Andy is doing the Moss Challenge, so here's one of his shots from the trip out, in the Nicola Valley at Quilchena.

The Central Island Branch of OECC did a great job of Brits On The Beach 2014, and un characteristically had 5 cars from our club attend this year.
The grassy knolls of the Transfer Beach park in Ladysmith, certainly make for a wonderful location for a car show. Some 260 cars were in attendance this year, a little down from last year.

Thanks to Ken Hedges, Peter Sparke and members of OECC for making us so "at home", and inviting us to their post event BBQ.

A shot of our group of Calgary cars, the only non BC cars.

Coffee on the deck with a deer for company. A lunch date with ex pat Calgarians and VSCCC members Tony & Rosemary Booth in Nanaimo today, then we'll se what the rest of the day has in store.
Tomorrow we do a drive out to Port Renfrew via some exciting looking back roads.

A nice easy day of driving today, though saying goodbye to my brother, and the wonderful accommodations we have enjoyed for the past week , were less easy.

A trouble free drive from Cowichan Bay to Swartz Bay, a ferry crossing to Tswassen, and then a BBQ and social with some members of OECC at Gerry Parkinson's residence in Tswassen, followed by a short drive to Langley and our motel being the limit of our travel today.

Gerry and Anita's hospitality was tremendous, with salmon on the BBQ and fixins fit for royalty, the tales around the patio covering every aspect of daily life, with a smattering of British car talk too. smiling smiley
A great time, allowing us to re connect with folks recently met for the first time on the Canmore to Nanton run, and meet some of Gerry and Anita's OECC friends for the first time too.

Tomorrow it's on to Penticton via #3 for our next overnight stop.

Well it's been a fantastic trip. Our final overnight stop tonight is in Cranbrook after a stellar day of driving roads, scenery, shopping and food. Pretty much sums up the whole two weeks actually.
What a great group of travelling companions.
The weather has been without compare, if a little too hot on a few days. Tops have been down save for days when the sun got to be a bit too much.
We have spent some amazing time with other British car enthusiasts along the way, made some new friends and renewed old ones. I wish trips like this would never end.

Here are some more shots, mostly of today's amazing run, which includes one of a brief encounter with an Edmonton based group of Triumph motorcycle riders who have been officially invited tou our next BritsBest. They figure they can field 10 bikes..............woohoo.
Enjoy folks..............we're home tomorrow ( Monday ) evening.

Andy,

Thank you for the update on the trip and posting the great photos; a few nice looking GT's in some of the photos and everyone seem to be having a good time.
