It suddenly struck me that I didn't recall seeing any MG 1100-1300 sedans registerd for Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix's Marque of the Year events (www.pvgp.org), the last time I looked.

Some of you guys ARE coming to Pittsburgh, in two weeks, aren't you????

Here's aquestion for you: How am I ever going to convince my wife to let me by an 1100/1300 sedan if none of you guys show up and let her look yoru car over?

Don't let me donw, here, guys winking smiley

I did not see a single MG sedan of any vintage at the Pitt G.P...No 1100 / 1300s, no ZA,ZB Magnettes, no YA YB,YT earlier sedans. NADA. I even commented to the NAMGA bunch and the MGB bunch about the lack of closed cars. No one seems to care. It's a long way for me to drag one,( my ZB ) all the way from Texas just to show in the field.

I've found that getting MG folks to attend ANY event is like herding cats. I was a bit surprised that we had no ZAs and/or ZBs there, as these models have shown up, occasionally, for PVGP's British Car Day show (the one on the other side of the pine trees from our Marque of the Year show.
Re: "NAMGA" (did you mean NAMGAR?) and "MGB bunch" (NAMGBR?) not caring. I sincerely doubt that it was a question of caring or not. But, on the day of the show, if you MG sedan guys don't show up, what can NAMGAR and NAMGBR actually do about it?

One possible explanation for no MG sedans may be found in the number of pre-registered cars vs. the number of MGs that actually showed up on Saturday. We were on-target to have close to 300 MGs on the field. However, the heavy rains of Thursday and Friday, combined with what many would have described as "threatening skies" on Saturday (actually, a nice, cool, overcast day with no rain and very comfortable) may have kept a lot of cars away.

Hopefully, some of you MG sedan guys will be pursuaded to show up, next year, for PVGP's British Car Day. We're expecting a lot of MG owners, who've discovered what a fantastic event PVGP is, to return next year.
