clutch arm on gear box

just bought my first modern mg, it has a bent clutch arm on the gear box.
i`m told this is a common fault.has anyone got any expierience of this.

I've never heard of one bending. I have heard of them siezing in the bellhousing.
(and I don't think that the hydraulics could apply enough pressure to bend the arm!)
I give mine a good shot of lubricant every time I have the engine cover off.
