Keeping track of people you PM often, I suppose.

Maybe I'll do something exciting(?) with it in the future.

Skye, when you're "in" a thread, would it be possible to put the ability to jump from page to page when there are multiple pages at the top and the bottom of the page? That way, you can jump through quickly without scrolling down. That may be as clear as mud.

By the way, I really like all the little formatting icons.

Strange, my inbox/sent items is working fine.

Does it display a count in the left hand nav box? What are the numbers for inbox/sent?

I like that we have the text options, bold, colors etc. But when you change them, is it possible to make it so you see the change as you type as opposed to it marking what you have changed?
For example

(blue) my type here would be blue (blue) or if I use bold it shows up as (bold)type here is bold(bold) I would just like to actually see the bold instead of a note saying it is going to be bold or see the color instead of notations before I post. Or is this only happening on my computer?

Everything else looks good!

I notice some people are noting slower speed. I am fine here. I am using Foxfire and I wanted to know if that was a factor.

Nice looking Skye.

I'm using FoxFire, my speed is fine too.

I did notice if I try to PM from a profile that the user name doesn't appear in the "To" line. It does appear if you send a PM from a thread.

Skye, can you correct the number of years I've been on the forum from 2 years to ten years? I started November 1999. My first post was to JD Weimer (Man what a mistake that was!).

Thanks. I like all the new stuff.

Not working for me. Just see newer topic/older topic. I'd like the"Message List" function back also. Running Firefox 3.5.3 on Windows 7 RC1 64 bit.

I added it to the threaded view, but forgot the flat & hybrid views. Should be fixed.

This format takes me at least three times as long to scan the topics and postings. It takes time to open each posting to see if it is new or not or to reread a previous post. I liked to see all posts on a topic and scan though them.

I do NOT like this format. Too much trouble to read and follow topics. It is a bitch for the occasional user.

I don't like not seeing all the postings at once. I will likely post much less.

hang in there - it's only been a couple of hours - things will improve and if you go thru your forum settings, I think you'll feel better..... grinning smiley

The site was slow because as soon as I brought it back online, several thousand computers all connected at once. Seems fast now that things have calmed down.

Skye,

I did not experience the problem with "Multiple Messages per Page" needing to be set in my prefs, as it was already like that. However, I fi I change the display setting to "Default", it reverts to the one message per page with followup messages only shown as links. I think you may want to change the default setting to Multiple messages.

BTW was the sorted by time thing an option before? If I am not mistaken, that will pop old threads up tot the top if someone posts something new to them. I have always wondered about how this site didn't do that, and I wonder if it will be a good idea. For the MGC forum, I'll definitely love it, but I wonder if it will work well on the higher volume B board... time will tell.

Thanks again, I know the insanity of upgrade projects like this.

I think you will find that the new post indicators, while slightly different than before, are still there.

You can change to "flat read view" by following the instructions in the Announcement.
