Has anyone ever used one of these guys who call you up when you've advertised a car on Craigslist and offers to market your car in a dozen or so specilty car publications that target collector cars for $150 or so and makes statements to the effect that he can guarantee a certain price range for my vehicle? Sounds like kind of a scam to me but maybe they're legit ... don't know.

The '70GT I bought earlier this year isn't gonna work out for us ... just way too nice for our intended purpose. Need a super reliable "driver" but not a show car so I'm putting this one up for sale. Looking for $13,000 or so. 830-832-7959

A car like your GT will sell itself. I have no experience with a broker nor would I use one. Don't trust them.

Good luck with the sale. Car looks good. More details and photos are always appreciated.

Never trust a middle man! He's in the middle for just one reason, to make money and he doesn't really give two hoots whether you make any or not! If you use one, you better read the fine print! Forums like this, news paper adds, craigs list or ebay are better. PJ

The same thing happened to me, Dave, when I first placed your (used to be mine) 70 MGB GT for sale. BTW, I think your asking price is way too low. There is more than twice that much money invested in the restoration.

When I was sell a truck I got the call and was told I could get $3,000 more. I told him my price and if he sold it for his I would give him the $3,000 he never called back.
