The TA was in the company of some cool cars on the Beamish Reliability Trial today.

Here's the slideshow

A couple of mystery cars for you. If you get both of these, give yourselves a huge pat on the back.

Even without the badge on the front, the bottom one has that all to tell tale front grill.
Top one had me stumped, but David appears to be quite specific.

David is correct, and I think he has some inside information. grinning smiley

The second one isn't a BMW despite its looks.

Frazer-Nash with some dodgey BMW bits attached.
OK - so I looked it up on Google... I am not that much of a nerd.

Bang on the money, Richard, apart from the dodgy BMW bits.

Frazer Nash was the first UK importer of BMWs with sole rights to market them as Frazer Nash.

I thought it was BMW when I saw it, then I looked at the back & saw the Frazer Nash badges.

Had a further look at Frazer Nash.... I had forgotten that they made hydraulically operated gun turrets for
the great British heavy bombers in WW2. Lancaster, Wellington, Stirling, Sunderland etc.
Aeronautical nerds will already know this !
