....I bought some big fat juicy union made night crawlers, tomorrow mornin right after a private enterprise paid fer breakfast I'm goin down to the lake and put em on a #6 meat hook and drown em...I gots my new license too, it's a state issued license to ...Kill!!!! wanna come along, but no explosives !!! smoking smiley

Down here WalMart sells Canadian night crawlers for about a dime apiece. I pack ice in the container they come in, get em real cool so they are tight when I'm ready to hook em up. Here's the way I do it, I use a long shank bream hook and a small bullet weight rigging it what's called Texas rig. I don't cast but just pay out the line to the river current and let it go to deep water. Mostly large Bass take it and when I set the hook the long shank puts the hook into the roof of the mouth rather than the lip. I don't loose many this way. The fish becomes excited when it see's the worm reacting to two things, drastic temp change and steady water pressure, this makes them twist and lurch, causing the bass to act on instinct.
