I know Hap. I first met him thru a mutual friend some years ago, he's been a member and president of our local British car club, and did a damned good job, I might add. Hap's about as conservative as I am liberal, neither of us being extreme either way, but I have a lot of respect for him. He accepts my opinions, I accept his. It's a shame that some folks both right and left on this forum can't do that. People who have to be right all the time too often end up going to congress and that's a cryin damn shame, because all they can do is talk about how wrong the other side is and bicker over everydamnthing a person can think of and get abso-damn-lutely nothing accomplished. A few years ago we had a couple of conservatives on the forum posting crap to start and arguement all the time and finally they got hooted off. It wasn't pretty coming from the right, it isn't pretty coming from the left. Like Hap, I wonder why Skye puts up with some of the bull crap on here when we're not supposed to make political posts. Charles, even your avatar is a mockery of an individual's religious expression. How many football field-goal kickers, how many basketball free-throwers have you seen doing the sign of the cross before they take their shot? How many receivers have you seen who touched their knee in a bow after a making a big run or reception across the goal line, and nobody, but nobody ever said a word about that. But let an outspoken religious guy take a knee and all of a sudden everybody has to start mocking him. Why do you feel the need to make fun of someone with different views from you? Some of you people are nothing but antagonists out to make fun of, bully, and ridicule people who are different from you. Why on God's green Earth can't you just accept them at face value like Hap and I accept each other. I'll never make a liberal-moderate out of him and he'll never make a conservative-moderate out of me. But neither of us cares. He's a good guy, I'm a good guy, we both like MGs and other things and that's all we need to be friends.

So submittng library material, and he telling us he will post it, and not and the site being down for week at a time, while he's gone or absent, all that ok with you all too.

I have little to no respect for how Skye runs this forum, that why I give him nothing, oh trust me I tried. If you leanred something here, got linked to something you needed here, had one of the forum member to help you thru a problem here, I doubt Skye had much to do with it. I hope when they put me in hole in the ground someday, I known for helping people that love these cars, and not for starting a forum and then abandoning it, when something else came up.

Lets face it, Skye is just some guy who has a forum and a MG, not some MG guy who has a MG forum.

Skye threatened to kick me out of here, because something I said over the political forum, somewhere I visit not that often here, but I do get sucked into a debate over ther, now over there he pounces into action when his little nerve gets hits but over here he pretty much ignores us. here's a idea, if you come to MG forum prmairly to debate poiltics, you need to go someone where else, and Skye need to get rid of the crap here, we don't need it here. So if you think Skye doesn't already moderate you are mistaken, he does, just over on a forum side that doesn't even need to be here.

I not going to say what I said over there (political forum) to awaken Skye from his slumber was edgey, it was it was to prove a point, that we in the country are afraid to even say terms or bring up certain topics, the mere mention of a given word form a certain color of lips is taboo. What I said was not racist, it was meant to bring awareness to stuff people in this country ignore, Am I pissed at thge headless rider web aminstrator for now bouncing int action, yeah I'm pissed abit about it, where the hell was he when we really need him on this forum. Sorry I have little respect for this guy, doubt much will happen to change that.

Skye is a guy who had a MGB, heck maybe still has one, got lucky as hell because after alittle initial work to get this forum going, it took off, ittook off because of th people that post here, and the help and advice they as a group offered up to their fellow. Count the gold stars at $48 a year,and the silver one at what 25 a year, I had epopel tell me they are like 500 paying members here, you do they math, not a bad gig, for something you now hardly ever work anymore, tell me not one of you wouldn't like that action. He's slacer of a site adminstrator, other here have offered to buy this site form him, he ain't selling this hoiney hole, you can bet on that but could care less if it's made better either. Can some else do a better job, god I sure hope so.

Basil, since you want to play mindreader, yes this started over something I said on the off topic side, but there's alot more to it than that, as said here before, why do we need a political forum on a MGB forum, nuke that crap and be done with it, but no Skye won't do that because he has developed a new customer base from the political forum, I mean you look up and all of the sudden you have 100 paying members who almost only post on the political side, and you'd be hurting your incme if you cut it out, but if you going to let that shit exist, then you need to get the heck out of the way, and let people speak thier mind and not a a girly man, I'm for nuking that crap, but thats me, it never belonged on a car fourm, even the SCCA prod site has kept politics out of the mix.

So in closing I will not ever apologize to Skye, for anyhting I've said here, I'm not mad at him either, but we're not friends, and he is no friend to the hobby either, so maybe it's time to take this show on the road, we can do better for damn sure.

I think Hap has the problem of accepting other opinions. Look at that post from 3 years ago, the guy has issues. Look at this thread, looks at other threads where he was making racist comments. Should we accept Hap's comments, smile and move on? Some people choose to call it out, much like you are calling us out for our perceived treatment of Hap.

I like to engage in debate, I like topics like this thread. RJ who has been sparring with us is a big guy, he can handle the pressure, why can't Hap simply not read OT if it upsets him so much?

If someone calls me the things Hap called me, or calls me a sinner like RJ does, or make claims like gays are ruining society and are responsible for the moral decay, well expect a debate from me. I won't call you names or act like a baby, but I will use your own words to debate. Like you get upset when Hap is called out, I get upset when people make hateful comments. If you are big enough to make the comments on a public forum, you should be big enough to handle the feedback.

Look at how I'm handling your feedback, I didn't call you a name, threaten to report you, or suggest you leave. Search my past posts, if I ever act like that, it is the exception, not the norm, unlike Hap.
