I just obtained a Lucas defroster in the original box made for TD aux plug. anybody e ver seen one of these? value? It is pretty cool. Brand new! Thanks.

Is this one with the wires in it that get hot? Does it have suction cups to stick it on the windshield? This type was popular in the 30s and 40s and plugged in to a cigarette lighter socket. PJ

It sure is pretty cool and it didn't get much warmer when in operation. grinning smiley

An interetsing thing from the days before heaters but pretty much useless in operation.

And as recently as the late 1980s. I used to have one in my Fiat 650 when I lived in Germany. Didn't do squat on a cold German morning, though. In fact, it didn't do much at all, regardless of the air temp.
