Noticed this for the first time a couple of days ago.

I've only owned the car for over 40 years and been driving it regularly for the past twelve.

Paul's got it, A mismatched 'pair' of carbs.

I can't believe I never noticed. The car runs well so they'll stay mismatched.

Owen, Just out of curiosity, are there any matching holes in the air cleaners back plates? Or if it's manifolded to one air cleaner, are there matching holes in it? PJ

Paul, I had two pancake filters fitted which have four holes in the backplates, two mounting holes and two that would match the port regardless of which way up they were fitted.
