Throttle Control ON Rough Ground

I am having prolems with throttle control when driving on roughish ground ie
car shows etc which is causing some embarrassment with comments like are you running on
Kangaroo Juice.

What seems to be happening is my foot is bouncing up and down and keeps touching the pedal have looked at the cable carb end which seems ok and not loose. Any suggestions to remedy this would be greatly appreciated.

I have thought about trying to fit hand throttle which I think would remedy this.
Has anyone done this, Think it it would be beneficial when tinkering.

Many Thanks Roger

Have you got a throttle return spring fitted. I yes fit a stronger one. grinning smiley

I had the same problem and after a few tries I found a spring which gave me more control without being too stiff.

Take the time to understand what a part does and how it does it, then you'll have a better understanding of how to fix it when it goes wrong. Beats the scattergun approach every time.

Ignition testing made easy.

Ditto on the throttle control spring tension. Proper tension and hook-up.
