This year’s convoy to Silver City will begin at the Albuquerque Marriott Hotel near Louisiana and I-40. Breakfast Buffet is available. Plan to be there no later than 9 am as we will leave at 10:15 to make the 5-1/2 hour drive down. We plan, this could change, to take a route that will minimize Interstate taking Highway 47 south through Los Lunas and hooking into I-25 around Bernardo. At Socorro we will get on Highway 1 south to where we can access 152 to get to the lunch stop at Hillsboro. From there, we will continue straight on in to Silver City. With God’s help, the trip should take 7 hours and 10 minutes including 1 hour for lunch and two 15 minute rest stops which should have us arrive in Silver City about 5:25 pm. The drive on 152 is beautiful and twisty, perfect country for our cars.
See you there,
Henry Morrison
