Every Two years the Brookton Community hold an Old Motorcar and Machinery Day. Owners of thirty year old and over cars are invited to display their vehicles. Other exhibits are Vintage tractors ex military vehicles, antique staionary engines, veteran motor bikes and so on, a very eclectic show. The organisors use the local sports ground for the event and the towns social clubs man refreshment stalls. Entrants are invited to camp over night (a Saturday) on the grounds and the Lions Club provide a cooked breakfast. In the evening the bar is opened and a country and western band provides music, the refreshment tent had a woodfired pizza oven that proved very popular for Sat nights meal.
It is 140miles from my home to the venue so we left early Saturday morning. Two friends in MGTCs and me in the B travelled in convoy via some interesting farmland roads. The photo is of us having a rest stop and a cuppa after 60 miles at Crossman on the way. We used our one man tents over night and headed for home after breakfast. I took the GPS with me so that I could convert our MPH speedos into kilometers per hour the Aussie standard. Narrow bitumen roads all the way.
So it was decided that Bill in the darker red TC would lead as he would only be doing 100kph (62mph) My GPS needs attention I am sure as I clocked him at 117 kph (73 mph), not too bad for a stock TC with pea shooter exhaust and skinny 19" wheels.

Wow, What a nice show! Thanks for posting! Quite a mixture of vehicles. Would love to have been there, just a wee bit over the mileage barrier. PJ
