1968 MGB GT for sale. I bought this car in California in December of 2015 and drove it back to Michigan, my adventures can be found somewhere on the forum.

The following was replaced before, during or shortly after the trip from California:

Rebuilt front brake calipers, new rotors and pads
Starter
Water Pump
Headlights -- Hella E-Code
Points, Cap, Rotor, Plugs & Wires
PCV Valve
New Alternator
5 New Tires & Tubes

The car does currently run and drive, and was good enough to do the 2500 miles home.

It is a very solid car overall, any rust shown is honestly and truly surface rust. It appears the paint was applied with a brush perhaps, its ugly. Non O/D car. Originally Primrose Yellow. Front and rear seats were recently recovered. Pacesetter exhaust.

Following known issues:
2nd & 3rd gear syncros worn
Engine is oil thirsty -- 1 Qt every 300-500 miles or so , Oil pressure is on the low side
Dashboard is cracked
Windshield foggy
Body damage around the rear section of the left rear wheel well due to tire blowout.

Asking $2500 obo

Nate,
Does she seem like she's ready to do another drive back west to Tucson?

Yes still for sale.

Chris,
I noticed yesterday moving it around the shop that the brake light switch is non-functioning, I will certainly replace that before anyone drives it home.
I can't guarantee anything on a 2,000 mile trip with a 50 year old car, but I think all of its faults have been outlined in the ad. There is not a specific known issue with the car that
would dissuade you from taking the trip. I would guess that you will have fewer unscheduled stops going to Tuscon than I did coming from California.

Ironically I will be in Tucson for Thanksgiving, not sure I can carve the time out to drive it down there for you though.

Nate,

Any chance of some engine bay pics, details of the interior (dash, etc.)? Also, any history on the car prior to your ownership?

Sorry for the delay, work has been busy, I will try to get some more photos up in the next few days.

On the history, I don't really have much. I bought it in Foster City, California in December of 2015 from an early 30s lady. She had owned the car for 2-3 years and had done the maintenance required to keep it driveable. It did have an MGEXP decal on it, so perhaps some history of posts here.

More pictures, and a few other things to note that I forgot to originally.

Previous owner had replaced the brake master cylinder and recovered the seats prior to my purchase.

The nest of wires you see under the hood was a relay setup that I wired in a parking lot to get a little more voltage to the headlights. Also headlights are up-rated Hella units.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

-Nate
