I obtained this differential from a MG repair shop. The Ring gear is labeled "DANA" 18515, A3R9.
The gear ratio is 11/41 (3.73:1). Hope someone can help me identify it. I would like
to see it used in a restoration project. The hangers look much like the MG, however
definitely not a MOWAG.
Thanks

Numbers in front of Dana are the date code. The ones right after are the part number for the ring gear. And has Gill said the last one are ratio. Although the site I found calls it a 3:73. That ring gear is common for a Dana 44 axle used in smaller four wheel drives such has a jeep. Oh and the A3R9 is a heat batch code, Seems swapping a dana 44 in a b is or was a common practice. Might be why they had it. http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?40,2566114
