Newly-rebuilt MGB engine for sale. Just completed, on a very nice, low mileage 1977 engine. Block and head hot-tanked, new Hastings rings on stone-honed, not ball-honed, standard bores. King bearings on a very nice, polished std/std crankshaft. Multi-angle valve job on excellent crack-checked cylinder head, new freeze plugs, cam bearings, timing chain tensioner, Payen head gasket. Will install front plate suitable for your year car. Supplied with build sheet showing all dimensions, bearing clearances, piston ring end gaps, etc. plus assembly photos available. 1,750 exchange. Installation available.

Thanks for looking.

What would installation run? I have a '77 now. Have an overdrive transmission around to go with?

Just curious, do you ship and approx cost of that? I haven't woken mine up from it's 4 year hibernation yet so I don't know the condition, it's "supposed" to be ok.

Dick, just fyi, when you get a chance can you check on the price of shipping to 92562. I see your posts on here all the time and am thinking that I should have a spare since mine is a daily driver.

Dick,

Did you bore and replace the pistons? What size is the bore?

I have two engines in my shop right now for rebuilding per customers' requests for performance enhancements, but this engine is still available for sale, and happy to ship. Details and photos are in my original post.

Also, soon to be available is a nice 4-synchro overdrive gearbox, which will be offered after I check, inspect, and bench test it.

Thanks for looking.

Dick, how much do you think you will be asking for the OD Transmission. I would definitely be interested in that as my car is a daily driver on the freeway and that would keep the RPMs down making the engine last longer.

Once I get more saved up I will probably take you up on one of the engines as a spare would be nice to have for my car.

Thanks
Dave
