Anyone going?

I am planning on taking my TC with me and parking it somewhere. Picking up my photog's pass friday afternoon. I plan on shooting Saturday all day, and maybe Sunday. Will be carrying 3 vintage camera's with me, so say hello.

Doug,

I might head out on Sunday if I can get enough garage work done on Saturday to justify a non-productive day. I'll try and look you up if I do. PM me with your cell number?

We chose not to run the Wino this year. Somehow 5 days and only 4 sessions don't work for me any more. I will be there Saturday am.

Scott, I was wondering what your racing plans were and whether you were slowing down to focus on the new GT project?

Hey Fred,

I hope to run one more race this year than I have in the past 3 or 4. The Wine Country event requires you to load into the track on Wednesday. One 15 minute session on Thursday and Friday. One 15 minute practice, one 20 race on Saturday or Sunday. Way too little track time. Last weekend (had my car not had issues) we ran 9, 20 minute sessions from Friday afternoon thru Sunday.

Monterey is more or less the same but you do get 20 minutes more track time. Monterey adds providence to the cars, not so much with the Wine County race.

When is your next race?

That's good to hear. I just had not heard any updates. I race again next weekend. I pulled the transmission on Monday and air freighted it for a rebuild. I should get it back this Wednesday so I'll have a night or two to get it back in the car in time.

Apparently brake pads are cheaper than synchros and maybe I should use the brakes instead of the transmission to slow the car. Haha.

Keep us posted. Did you get accepted for Monterey again?

Yes, we were both accepted again this year to Monterey. I use it as a mini vacation even though its only 90 minutes from home.

Don't you run a taylor box in the Mazda? We do the same thing, it does really help to woha the car down. Have fun tearing it up. What track?

No, I run a '99 box with a Quaiffe sc/cr gear set. It is far less problematic than the dog box.

I thought I read that you got accepted again, sweet.

We are back at the home track - Summit Point - next weekend. It will be nice being back on familiar turf.

Thanks Scott. I'm here, set up, registered, tech'd etc.

Got the transmission back in the car last night and she moves. I'm going to check the alignment in a little bit.

Zero chance of precip. Seven FP cars, six HP cars - Mike is already here and a few EP cars. Should be a great weekend. Greg Nagy has a healthy lead in the points but is not registered.

Here is a link to some stuff from the historics. Kinda bummed, not a decent MG pic in the lot.

but some really neat race stuff anyways.

Oh Honey indeed!
That Talbot or one just like it used to run the Reading Hillclimb every year. I was in love with those brakes then, and it still works!

Really nice work, keep B&W alive.
