I've got a different part number, here the part number off my box of main's I got in my hand, right now.

5M2255-010
MS914P
6033M

This is their tri metal bearing, it may be they have quit production of them, and no i don't 50 sets of anything grinning smiley I've tlaked to the US ACL people, and they noted this bearing was drying up, i just didn't know if thuis was in the US or worldwide, i guess we can assume the later. Thanks for the info.

Hap,

I'll run those part numbers past ACL and see what they say.

Hap,

I ran 5M2255 through the ACL site and it just said main bearing. The Normal ACL's are OE on a lot of modern cars and are trimetal as in aluminium tin silicon. The part numbers I gave for the ACL Duraglide bearings. They are also trimetal but copper-lead material.

The bloke doing the machining work does not want the aluminium bearings for this application. One of the local MG race car builders said he uses the duraglides on his engines, so that's why I was going that way.

The mystery continues.
