OK, so this may end up being one of the shortest threads (but you never know, others may be into this fetish, too) but I found myself strangely attracted to my friends new carby. It is enough to make me want to go V8.

So I snuck a few quick pix:

They are the best my little phone camera could take.

Is this a carby you guys are familiar with? I haven't seen this one before, it is lovely.

My wife doesn't have a problem with me pulling up Curtis' British Race Car site and lusting over the pictures. Though I tend to look over my shoulder and flinch when I hear unexpected sounds.

I wish someone made an adjustable float setup like that for Webers. It would make everyone's life a whale of a lot easier when setting them up and tuning for best performance.

Yeah. The relative preponderance of SBC hereabouts tends to make interesting stuff like that commonplace. Can't swing a dead cat, yadda, yadda, yadda.

And there used to always be someone wanting to put one on a VW or MG or whatever they happened to trip over when they weren't messing with their Nova or Camaro or etc... At least that seems to be confined to Webers and their knock-offs now.

winking smiley

Edit to say; the only v-8 I have ever owned had FI (As does the 6 in my truck) so I have only peripheral knowledge of the units... You sure see a lot of different stuff at car shows, however.

Although the first bit of the description is a worry...

"Competition appearance for the street..."

So is it JUST bling, or maybe bling plus?

Darn - or is it "The new Mighty Demon™", I can't tell?
