So Craig, you will be at the NatMeet at Easter, won't you?

I will have 0.060 off the head shortly - so you need to fix that fuel problem and we can compare laptimes ;-)

Eric, I will indeed be there, I'm on the organising committee so I can't escape. Hopefully I will have the fuel issue fixed by then and the new HS6 Carby & dizzy installed and will have finished the suspension and fitted the solid wheels. So maybe then I can give you a run for your money.

I love how the guy in the white sprite is all up on the wheel. Wow!!

You probably saw this one over on the prodforum, but its Jesse at Road America. Check out his entry and exit into the Kink.

Fred,

For sure! I'm pretty sure that's how you're suppose to drive a Midget/Sprite! It looks like a slightly bigger kart.

Nice save by Jesse in the kink. He knew he wasn't going to make it and straightened the wheel out. The most impressive part about that video is he is almost flat out through the carousel in an EP car. Talk about a chassis that works!

Robin,

Here's in-car from a MGB-GT V8 here in the states

Sounds and looks great ... one of my bucket list obectives it to take my car on a round-the-world trip ... UK, Spa in Belgium and a couple of the US tracks as well. 6 of our local guys took 2 4-cyl cars to Spa for the 6-hour race almost 10 years ago - so it can be done !!

Do we know who bought the car/s, Robin?

One is owned by Mort Fitzgerald and the other by Mark O'Neill (and I think is for sale - unless sold already).

YouTube trailer for a movie on Vintage Racing Today to be released in the Spring/Summer of 2012. There are two MGA racers on the Zapata team... a Lotus 7, Austin Mini Cooper S, Spitfire and a 911 Porsche.

I don't know if this has been posted previously, but it is a pretty clever three camera video of an all MG race from last fall's event (2011) at Lime Rock (that I was prevented from attending by the spousal unit! sad smiley

I just found it and haven't studied too carefully, but I suspect some of you might recognize a few cars on the lower right hand shots of turns 2,3 and 4.

The grey coupe that is holding onto last place and is passed at about 4:38 was subsequently sold on E-bay for $6,600. I considered bidding, but the engine and transmission needed to be rebuilt and I didn't need a project.

I liked the driver's courtesy shown to the lapped cars.

It was an honor and i'm very thankful that i was given an opportunity to participate. I learned alot at that race and i'll never forget it. I'm thankful for everyone who stopped by to help us out and gave us words of wisdom. It's hard not to feel embarrassed because we had such a good season and it ended the way it did. I feel like somewhat of a failure because I built the motor having never built an MG engine before. the sad thing is what i spent on parts, we could have thrown in a few more dollars and purchased a motor from the prathers. I was never given a actual number but that season ran right around 30k just for the mg excluding fuel (school paid for every drop of diesel)
