they were originally black. but it's your car. "have to" isn't really important outside of things that you need to pass a state safety inspection if that applies where you live. Paint it pink if you want

I just see all black. I was wondering if anybody painted a different color to see if anything looked cool. So I can do it to mine

I've only seen that on higher vehicles like jeeps or 4x4s, they'll paint the pumpkin red... for visibility I guess?

you could do that with the MG, might look cool. the diff housing and the axle case are one big piece. No one would see it on the road though... unless you were upside down, which would be bad.
