...can't tell from your photos (taken from too far away) if you've connected the fuel supply to the fuel ports or to the vent ports


Can you take a close up of one of each of the float bowl tops to be sure?


By the way, it looks like you have connected the two vents to each other with that stainless hose. That will not work. Those vents must be open to atmosphere (run a long hose from each down to the ground).

Left has fuel inline on top and carb to carb on bottom. Middle is a shorter. Right has carb to carb on longer inlet.

You are correct, but only one thing is different: on his the fuel supply goes to the front fuel bowl first, and then to the rear. On yours it goes to the rear first, and then to the front. Either should work as well. I depends on which carb has the float bowl lid with the two fuel ports available and which one has the single port, which depends on which car the SUs came off of, originally, that's all.
