I'm being overly cautious here because transmissions scare the hell out of me. I think the answer is pretty obvous but asking anyway. Feel free to poke fun. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I am 99% sure the screw in the red circle is the "Locking Screw" from pg 132 Haynes manual.

Mine is out several turns, that's the way it came from the PO, I assume it needs to be tighten down as there was some oil leaking around it? Any reason for it to be out like that? Can I just tighten it down?

I did read this thread here but it seemed it was for a 1500

That bolt is the reverse shaft locking screw. It holds in place the shaft that the reverse gear rides on. It should be tight, not high torque or anything, but tight. When snugged up it shouldn't leak.

That screw goes into a hole in a steel shaft but threads into the aluminum housing, DON'T force it in!!! you will just strip out the aluminum threads and have a REAL leak!
The only safe fix is to (first drain the trans oil) remove the screw and look up into the hole- hopefully you will see that the hole in the shaft is only a little bit misaligned and you can align it with a tiny crosspoint screwdriver or similar then put the screw back in properly.
If you can't align the hole then you have a trans disassemble in your near future.

It was not completely out, so I just snugged it up. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some adjuster that was supposed to be a little out.

Thanks
