Thanks so much for your reply. Great to hear that you originally hail from 'Old Blighty' and that you're a Scouser to boot! As you so rightly point out, the early 'sixties were a golden age for motorsport - I only wish I'd been alive to witness it all!

Again, you're correct in saying that the photo of 9253 WD, with the Galaxie "up its chuff", was taken in 1963/64 - probably at a club event. Its owner/driver at the time was John Harris; by 1965 he had repainted the car dark blue.

9253 WD - the former Pedro Rodriguez, Healey team car built for Sebring in 1962 - has recently emerged from a 45 year lay-up.

As for restoring it to its former glory - watch this space! winking smiley

One of my favortie photos, I really like this look (not my car)I think Trevor Jessie owns it, but a great tough look, and one of those roads we all look for.

This was taken in British Columbia when my restoration was fresh, and is one of my favorites.

Jonathan, looking forward to updates on 9253 WD.
I have a sister just south of you in Nothamptonshire, and cousins in the Walsall area, so on my next visit to the mother country I should look you up for a closer look smiling smiley

Your car looks fabulous! I'm guessing by its stance, that you've made a few modifications?

By all means, look me up the next time you're over in the UK - it would be good to meet you. Aldridge is about a 10 min. drive from Walsall town centre.
