I was wondering if anyone knows a trick to tighten to of the bolts holding the intake and exhaust manifolds to the block on a 1500 engine

First you have to take the air cleaner off.
Then a 9/16" open end wrench then go to town you may get a swivel socket (not a universal with a socket) on the two on the bottom either side of the carb it will be tight but can be done. Good luck

Sometimes grinding a sacrifical wrench to the proper dimensions will also work...remove some of the meat on the wrench.
