That "MGB Midget" is a rare car! In fact, this is the first time I've ever heard of one... Kidding aside there are "MGB's" and "MG Midgets" no "MGB Midgets"

Cool, let me know. Initially I'll see if the 1275 rad will fit the 1500 shroud in the car and allow relocation of the expansion tank to the correct location.

If that works, it will allow space for an electric fan behind the radiator.

If by shroud you mean the fan shroud (cowl) that bolts to the radiator, yes I have both available. If you mean the sheet metal pieces (to which the heater/vent duct attaches) to the sides of the radiator, I'm not ready to part with those just yet. BTW, I'll be gone on business for a few days; PM me an offer and I'll get back to you on Tuesday.

Juat what the radiator bolts to and then it bolts to the front sheetmetal for the heater duct and hood latch support and all that.

It's the 'box' for ducting air into the radiator.

I have good 1500 style parts to trade for anyone interested.

For the shrourd outright, I'd like to try to keep it to $50 or under shipped to 32244.

Thanks,

Hey guys, I was on here a few months ago and I have completely forgot my username and password.... and my email that is associated with my account is no longer active. I have a white 1975 MG Midget with the 1250.

So, my main point, I'm looking to sell it... it breaks my heart that I have to do it but I gotta. I bought it from the second owner in non running condition. It had a blown head gasket and it hadn't been turned over for 5 years. I replaced the head gasket, replaced the head studs, replaced most of the other gaskets, slave cylinder, master cylinder, refurbed the pedals and pedal housing, and various other things here and there. I got it running and it sounds pretty damn good for not running for 5 years of sitting. The body is in GREAT condition for being a New England car, minimal rust. Another issue appeared as I was about to go for a test drive. The clutch is rusted to the flywheel due to a crack in the bell housing. I tried to break it free buy dropping the clutch in gear but it just wont break free. And so it has been in storage for the past few months and the storage costs are killing me.

Wow I wrote a novel. Ill try to get detailed pics up soon.
I figured since you guys have always given me great tips, tricks, and advise, I thought you guys might like first dibs.

Anyone interested?

Thanks guys!

It would be a painstaking event to install a 1275 into a 1975 rubber bumper 1500 midget as the engine and transmission are totally different. You might want to reconsider what it is you have and what you intend to market. Clarity would benefit both the seller and buyer imho.

Freeing a frozen clutch can be done in several ways....acceleration down a hill....easiest way to get the car running....all with clutch pedal firmly on the floor and at speed hitting the breaks. If that doesn't work turn around and race up the hill all while holding down the clutch pedal. Sooner or later the driven disc should break loose.

Lastly, while this forum is "trying out" this "thread" you would probably be better served posting to the "Cars For Sale" and/or the "Buy, Sell, Trade" forums on the left side of this screen. Do figure out what you have first.
