I got these with the car, they fit in where the headlight buckets go. I know this car has a special hood on it, along with special doors, but i cant remember what it was called, i assume these went with the hood. rare? is it cool i ask what this stuff is worth in this part of the forum? I also have a set of the low cut doors i have no idea what they are worth

I had a hard time trying to figure out what they are from that single photo. What do you mean when you say "they fit in where the headlight buckets go"? Give us some more photos.

I don't think those are specially designed to go with the hood. I think those were an accessory sold way back when. When installed over the headlights on the BE or any other car, the headlights appear to have eyelids. Some people think they look very cute with a Bugeye. To me they are an indication of a has too much money and need desperately to find something to spend it on. eye rolling smiley

There are versions of these common on Morris Minors. I even have them on mine for now. Very period 50's stuff, like sun vizors. I add they are BIG with Japanese "bozozoku", the biker gangs, who call them "piyo piyo" and sport them (one at a time) on the Kawasaki motorcycles they use to terrorize the Tokyo night.

On a Bugeye they look really dumb.

used to see 'em on a lot of veewee bugs. girls thought they were cute. i would think the bugeye has enought attention drawn to its peepers to ever need these!

Eyelids? I have no idea how they would attach....here are some better pics. either way guess ill add it to the pile of crap to sell shortly. The fit perfectly into the pocket in the bonnet, if i took the headlamp assemblies out, which i will soon for stripping, they lok like they would fit perfectly and flush into the bonnet

Wow - those are some strange parts. They're not eyebrows or covers. I could see a chrome bucket liner accessory type thing, but then what are the upper curved pieces for. Hmmm....

Send us a picture of the cut down doors. I'd like to see them.

Looks like the light openings were converted to air scoops when they did the custom work and made the inserts to dress them up.

I own it now. Bought it from the guy that bought it from that guy in the pic. The bonnet in the pic was sold before I got the car, as was the hardtop. But i have the obvious 'air scoop' trim pieces, and I actually have the louvers for the sides of the bonnet as seen in that sketch. Thoughts on what these might be worth? Or is it one of those pieces that only has value to the one guy thats lookin for em. The car BTW is goin a complete stripped down restoration.

I hate to say it, but I don't think the headlight trim pieces are going to be worth anything other than to the person that has the bonnet. The louvers? Who knows?.
