I think its quite a nice looking car. The ID plate is a repro unit and if the number is correct, its an early model, but it does not have the early gauges which I like; they're either replacements or the car was made right after they switched the instrument faces. I'd go for it if I were in the market; always liked the white/red combo.

Hey Gio,
I think you meant HDR43/14300! winking smiley I thought the VIN# sounded a bit too high for a '56, especially since my '58's # is 42364!

May 56 is not one of the first 4000 so no early gauges, first 4000 only as Gio will confirm

The first car with "new" gauges was HDE43/14090 in April 1956.

This was the 3990th. car
