We've been discussing the zinc content of oils on the Tbird forum. There are motorcycle oils (Spectro Motor Guard) that contain higher levels of zinc and Quaker State has developed one specifically with higher zinc levels. You can get the Quaker State cheap at Wal-Fart. (well maybe not in Moscow) DEFY

I know what you mean - never been very keen on QS products but thought I would mention it. Standard QS oil didn't work too well in the '67 MGBGT I had but that was 30 or so years ago. The QS web site doesn't mention any of the additives other than the zinc - wonder where WM found that info?

Did you find this information from Mobil somewhere?

Or was it just the fact that it contained the higher levels of zinc for longer then most oils? I don't believe it carries the higher levels of zinc any more?

on their website and on the packaging...its the real deal lots of us use it in our stingrays

"Mobil 1 15W-50 is recommended for older valve train designs that may benefit from a higher level of anti-wear normally not required in newer generation vehicles."
