If anyone has the time to post pics of their coupe interior and trunks I would appreciate. Other than my car not sure I have seen more than 1-2 coupes. So not sure how they really look.
Thanks

Inside the boot - apart from the tool roll and Holden jack wrapped in a towel, all details should be correct.

Here's mine, finished last year. Yeah, I know, stock would be white piping, but I liked red on black. Helped that I had the seats in that color already...

Check out my photobucket site for more pics.

These are all great pictures!
Lots of different looks.
My 59 coupe has red leather on the front and top of dash. Top of dash is really bad. Curled up in the corners.
I am doing, what I call, a rolling restoration , and just want it to look decent.
Thanks for the photos!

Dove Grey car, grey carpet, black interior with grey piping. I got the dash material frm a local friend.. just wanted something a little different.. the car has an MGB motor and OD transmission, so not a concur candidate..

Mk 2 interior (yes, I know the carpet is the wrong colour, but the correct gray was unavailable in the late 1970s when I retsored it the first time.

Happy Easter to all of you around the World!

Okay, your pictures raised a question or 2.

Anything special about the trim on the rear shelf?

How is the padded trim on the dash held on? Mine just has finishing screw and washers holding it on.

I noticed several of you have pockets on the kick panels for storage of maps? Not that I am concerned was that normal?

Keep the pics coming!

The map pockets (both sides) are standard in coupe's, substituting for the lost storage space in the roadster doors.

As I understood too the map pockets were supposed to be lined with the same material as the head liner. Dash trim had something I would call a T stud. They are mounted in the wood backing strip of the trim and lined up to match the holes in the metal of the dash, then covered with a D shaped piece of rubber foam and then the vinyl trim. Nuts and washers are then used to hold it on from the back side.

Barney's website has a coupe specific area and shows how to make the map pockets, etc.

I wonder if anyone has a photograph of the original door pillar on which the door hinges are mounted with the rubber seals in place, or knows anything more about them. They appear to be a standard fitment from the start of coupe production ? Clausager refers to them on page 31 but does not illustrate them though he shows a photgraph of the pillars without the seals on page 39.

They are listed in the 1500 and 1600 parts list but not illustrated.

They are however illustrated at R14 in the Twin Cam parts list as items 33 and 34 (AFH 4819,4822 and 4823)as attached.

On the 1500 coupe the top of the dash was left plain? In metal the color of the car?

Is the dash role trim supposed to be the color of the seats?
Any more pictures would be appreciated!

Any one have pictures of the rear shelf of a 1500 coupe?

Thanks

The top of the scuttle (dash) was covered on coupes. The color of the crash pad depends on the color combination of the car and the interior.
Here is a picture of the page for 1500 coupe from Clausager, it does not show Old English White combo. There are lists for all series of cars.
