I went to look at this car a few days ago. It is VERY rusty. Like lost in the forest and covered with snow for 40 years kind of rusty. It is so rusty that you folks in the Northeast would say this is a rusty car. A screwdriver went all the way through the frame from top to bottom. Little taps brought crunchy sounds instead of solid thunks. The seller is not trying to hide anything, but I wanted you to know this is not your usual Arizona car with a little surface rust.

Caveat emptor...

It's now sold - for $2950. Seems a bit high if there was that much rust, but good luck to the new buyer.

I don't know man, that ride looks "ready for paint" and I'm from Massachusetts where EVERYTHING is covered in corrosive pine needles and snow for 40 years.

Of course, I'm "restoring" this:

So my opinion may be scewed just a smidge.

It's back. New number: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1956-MGA-Convertible-1500-Arizona-Car-Needs-Restoration-/160694778453?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item256a27ba55

Again, this is not what people think of when they think of "Arizona car". Careful with this one. I guess it was too much for the previous buyer. It's WAY too much for me. Maybe at $500.00, but no higher.

Maybe the seller is just collecting deposit money. At 500 a sale he can get a bonus every few months and keep the car.
