I would love to get more (and hear the car making noise like that) but I only see the guy at competition events - and he bought himself a MGB GT racer for doing that stuff now.

Pity.

That looks like a really nice gathering of cars!

I went through all the great videos here, and thought I'd posted mine, but I didn't see them.. Here are a few autocross runs. The first was just a decent, basic run. The second is from the same event but shows me grinding gears horribly and shows when exactly my thrust bearing completely disintegrated. No more autocrossing for me...it made my front end a little loose!

My latest - me on my first run up the Collingrove Hillclimb track (Barossa Valley, South Australia) as part of the MG Challenge interstate competition.

A cold and greasy and narrow track - and a nervous driver.

I improved my time by over a second by the last run.

It is both terrifying and fun (afterwards) - a little more practice and track familiarity would do me the world of good. BUT is was nerve wracking seeing a guy destroy his MGF by leaving the track rather spectacularly later in the day.

The video sure makes it look a lot less hectic than it feels!

And someone took a photo of my car halfway up (looks like a nice country drive... but I am hanging on for my life at this stage).

I think this photo was taken when I was at at 1:04 on the video! I think :-)

1934 MG K3 Magnette running.

This was shot at the Simeone Foundation Museum tour that Rick Ingram organized. There was a fantastic collection of cars involved in competition through history, including this very original 1934 MG K3 Magnette which was driven for us. So enjoy!

Do you have any video of the k3 starting up? I know that's real interesting (It involves a 5ft flame out the side).

No, I missed the startup and apparently the flames. I do have a video of it pulling back into the shop though:

Just a little ditty - about my little exit from the track the other weekend. I found out the guy who took a great shot of me playing in the dirt had a motor-drive on that camera :-)

This is my attempt at video taken from my camera phone. This is from the Watkins Glen Vintage Grand Prix weekend September 5, 2008. Taken at Milliken's corner as the vintage racers take their laps of the old course through town .

OK, it looks and sounds terrible (I really have to do something about this camera) but this is a night sprint around my local track.

Yes, that is a Viper in front of me - and yes, I would have caught it (even with the five second head start it got) if it didn't spin a few laps from the end. I passed the car that was running with it.

If you can stand watching it....
