Nothing special, just a little run up the freeway into the Adelaide Hills.

Again with grotty audio (gotta find a consistent place to hid the microphone away from the wind).

This is the low quality version because YouTube hated the properly edited HD version (1.3gb) which I will have to try to upload again sometime - but it took hours to upload only to fail, most frustrating.

Nice Vids Guys! I wish we had a driving season longer than 7-8 months we have. Some claim we only have a 6 month driving season because they are not willing to get their heaters up to par and seal the interior. I suppose it could be worse. We could be in northern Canada where it's a shorter season.

How about videos to see what your doing leading up to Reno 2011 from the Americans and Canadians?

Our newest vid in the shop is on that Big Healey we did the tail lamp installation on. We couldn't resist... Enjoy!

I couldn't leave out the biggest MG convention in Reno, Nevada. Every 5 years all MG registers come together. The number of MGs will be over 1000!

Just a short clip from our run out today. We went to Saltburn by the Sea for a brisk walk and a coffee. The climb from the seafront is short but steep.

Looks like springtime Owen...green grass and some early spring flowers blooming. We still have 4 inches of snow blanketing the ground in Michigan.

It's quite pleasant here just now, Kevin. There's always the chance of more snow, but it's not very likely. Summer, or the couple of warm days we call summer, can't be far away.

1967 Roadster engine back plate replacement.

Hi all. This is my first post, so apologies if I get anything wrong.

I've looked at older messages, and only seeing posts regarding the opposite of what I want to read. I have an 18GB engine, and a later 1974 OD gearbox. I want to replace the back plate from the 18GB, and fit the back plate from the 18V.

Okay, so remove all the outer and inner bolts, including lock tab, and the back plate starts to move away with a little assistance. What |I need to know is, does the back plate from the 18V bolt straight on to the 18GB engine, i.e. all bolts line up? There is obviously a gasket to fit first. Secondly, is the shaft on the 18GB and the 18V the same diameter? If it is, then the same bearing can be used? If not, is there a bearing alternative.

Thanks for any help, and good to be here.

Well this is the MGB & GT forum - winking smiley

Welcome to MGE, Terry - you're in the right forum, and for your question you'll probably get more responses by starting a thread within this forum and titling it "1967 Roadster engine back plate replacement" or something like that.

You'll find this place a wealth of help and information. I'm pretty new here, too, and it has been tremendoulsy helpful.
