Real happy that the MGExperience website wasn’t down any longer than it was. Thanks for all the work you put in on it. Now if BMC would get their site back up that would be great also.

Skye does a fabulous job. Now for BMC to get its site up, first you would need to get BMC up again.

This is an example of why contributing to the site is a good thing. Do you think that Skye bought the hardware then sat up all night getting stuff to work because he has nothing more fun to do?

Almost had to revert to my last offsite backup, would have lost 3 weeks worth of posts, new members, etc etc.

Glad I managed to recover all the data off the broken server! That was a close one

There will be a much better systems architecture and automatic backup software by the end of the week....

Thanks Skye. I know you age just a little faster each time you do a site maintenance or fix. You are truly the man behind the curtain that keeps this site going.

It can be catastrophic when the server crashes. We had one go down several years ago and lost 2 months worth of data, found out the hard way that the offsite backup wasn't backing up. It took 3 weeks of long days to reconstruct from paper copies. Thank god we had the paper copies.

By BMC, I meant BMC Motorcars, maybe better known as Brian McCollough. His website has been down for awhile, but maybe should have posted in swaps forum, but wanted to express my appreciation to Skye for his work
