I'm relocating from Orlando Florida to Denver Colorado.

It's expensive to ship a classic car in a covered trailer. The company I chose was McCollister’s Auto Transport based on a trusted recommendation. Door to door it's costing $1900 USD.

I didn't have much time to shop and compare, however another company quoted $2900.

My MGB was picked up today. It was nestled into the trailer with a Rolls Royce and a Ferrari. Go figure!

I was set at ease by the driver. He seemed careful and competent. A real bonus is that my car won't leave the trailer agaim until it arrives in Denver.

Anyway, that's my experience so far. I'm hoping to see it again in about a week.

Be sure to visit the central downtown area, the state capital, Denver U.S. mint, and the Molly Brown House. From the rotunda of the capital you can see Pikes Peak. Denver is a beautiful and friendly city.

Be safe out there.

Nice to move to the mountains.thumbs up

Expect to re adjust the settings of your carburetors to run well at the 'new' elevation of Denver than the close to sea level in Fla.

Steve,

Welcome to the great State of Colorado. You'll love it. Looks like you have a well sorted MGB going onto the transport. Colorado's winding mountain roads are made for the MG. The MG Car Club, Rocky Mountain Region https://mgcc.org/ will provide you friends and activities. Looking forward to meeting you.

Great to learn you found a reliable shipper.

I'll be moving my B next year from the Chicago area to Kansas City.

I've heard good things about this outfit:

The big British auto show is in September. It's called the Colorado English Motoring Conclave. http://www.thecoloradoconclave.com/pages/welcome. Don't miss it. It starts with a tour on Saturday. Show on Sunday.
