I bought a pair of MGB door mirrors from Moss and broke the glass on one (165-258). I called Moss because their site says the mirror head is replaceable, but they don't sell it. I had a look at the BHive and VB, no joy. Does anyone know where I can but a replacement without buying the entire mirror?
Thanks, David

Moss sells replacement mirror glass, flat or convex for TRX type, which you cite.

Barry,
I called Moss, they said they don't sell it. Do you know something else?

My mirror had lost some silver so I did a search on Ebay "Auto door mirror glass" and bought the closest one to my size. I took it to a glass shop and they ground it to match the cardboard template I made. They also mounted it the frame. Good cheap fix.

Barry is 100 % correct, in Moss Motors notes they state that the mirror head is the same as the 1974-1980 MGB which they do carry replacement glass

After Barry's post I called Moss again. It seems the 1st Moss person who told me they didn't have what i needed and that part # was not it was incorrect. The 2nd Moss person said they had some new folks and I must have talked to one of them.
Thanks to all, David

If it is the OEM Tex mirror you can get spares parts and replacement glass direct from the company.

see link. Hope this helps.
