I count Castrol Classic as GTX, IMO the name is just a rebrand on the GTX...

I use and like the Castrol synthetic 5W-50. Much quicker oiling on every cold start. In spite of what RobC thinks.smoking smiley

You can probably point to me Rob, it's all fun. I'm going to join your club and switch to the Castrol , I'm finding the Valvoline is just to hard to get. My local Napa, Auto Zone and O'reilly's choose not to carry it anymore. I'm just to lazy to special order OIL.

I'd call it "Other Major Brand".

I guess I'm just confused by a poll along the lines of :

Favorite color?
Blue
Other

Apparently its unnecessary though, since everyone with an MG uses Castrol anyway lol

Quote: Favorite color?

Starting with the hypothesis that 75% of people like blue the best, the task might be to determine which shades of blue are the most popular. If everyone chooses "other," then a new hypothesis would be necessary.

Like I said with 3000 mile oil and filter changes a properly broken in mgb engine will last as long with the same
Life wear running 20W 50
A 5w50 synthetic isn't called for no matter What anyone thinks
And all it achieves is pissing away seversl more dollar's every few thousand miles
