Thermostat sensor wire jacket in which houses two wires

Thermostat sensor wire jacket in which houses "two wires" one connected to the sensor on the engine

block ........ However

Where does the other one go? (it's a much shorter in length) the color is green/blue.

Possible that the shorter wire goes to the temperature gauge sending unit and the longer wire runs across the engine to the induction heater for the ZS carb (if still so equipped...)?...

Pay attention to Clay post

The Green/blue, (GU) wire is for the temperature sensor/sender at the cylinder head below the thermostat housing.

Your post reads as if you have the green wire, (G) connected to the sensor/sender, and incorrect? confused smiley

Here is a picture where do I plug that into?

As stated before these two wires are in the same jacket.

I believe the green wire has been shortened, as IIRC that black rectangular connector is not OE. I suspect that wire was originally longer to reach across to the induction heater on the original ZS carburetor. Perhaps the induction heater has been removed or disabled, or perhaps the ZS carb has been replaced with one of a different configuration...
