Your post raise several questions - why did you return the parts? Was it an error on their part or yours? Did you insure the package when you shipped it?

When we return parts to a supplier, it's our responsibility, not the supplier's, to insure them in case of damage or pilferage en route to the supplier.

The parts were never taken out of the original boxes. They said they were poorly repackaged.

I thought that most suppliers required that you contact them before returning parts for reimbursement.

Moss has very easy return instructions on the invoice that comes with the parts. No need to call.

It is probably best to take photos of the goods and packaging that is being returned for evidence if needed. I would write to Moss and tell them of your displeasure at the way they have handled this. Keith

I was even charged $85.00 shipping by Moss because I bought the parts when they were having a sale advertising free shipping.

Have you called Moss and spoke to an actual person? I'd suggest doing so.

The USPS does sometimes open packages & inspect the contents - perhaps it appeared suspicious on x-ray?. If they do open them, I think they mark the package in some way. Also, did the original boxes fit snugly inside the new box you used? If not they would likely slide around, bang into each other, etc and could be damaged &/or break open.

In my opinion, you should at least make an effort to resolve the problem with Moss before you start slamming them on an open forum.

I'm going to have to agree with post 10 & 11 here. If you haven't contacted anyone at moss in person or tried to resolve this in any way shape or form- why are you bashing their reputation online?

I would never consider returning an unopened package to anyone. What if they had made a mistake in what they shipped you? What if something you received was damaged? It's not always easy to tell if a package was opened and then resealed.

If you had opened the box and checked everything when you received it, you could have notified them of any damage.

I understand hindsight is 20/20, but to paraphrase Sun Tzu, every battle is won before it's fought.
