First time going to autocross. Should be fun, although the weather is expected to be terrible.

I have a brand new, all white, helmet. Boring... It needs some MGB graphics. I'm sure I can purchase some sticky inkjet material and resize anything to fit. Got ideas? Send them my way! (format like pdf or jpg...nothing too exotic or I won't be able to work with it)

Definitely need some sort of MG logo. Also something MGB themed... but fun... I have to keep in mind that nobody at the event would understand some of our "insider MGB" stuff....something like "Safety Fast" would be completely lost on them.

Let's see who is really creative out there.

Not sure it it's still the case, but it used to be against the rules to paint your helmet. Something about paint attacking the shell. Stick-on stuff was okay.

MG stickers were being sold a couple of days ago. Can't remember whom it was now. Of course, I tried to buy some. Mike Ruckman princetn1 is the culprit. Its the University Motors logo

From Bell racing helmets with my latest helmet
Only paint your helmet once you have determined that you have
the proper size. Custom painted helmets cannot be returned or exchanged.

If this were my first time autocross, I'd be a bit more concerned about car prep and a little less concerned about looking good.

Ha.. yes. The car is as ready as I can make it... Battery locked in place. Floor mats out. Tire pressures up and checked. Boot is empty. Fluids good. Tuning...well...that is a work in progress.

I like the guy hugging the octagon. That looks like something I could print/stick on there. I don't think I'm going to go for any wild custom paint jobs just yet. Besides...as was pointed out...that might not even be allowed.

Keep 'em coming.

I can't imagine that I could ever lose the fun in driving my car quickly around and through cones! It is unlikely that I will be competitive. Having said that, it would seem that I'm the only car in my class! (ha..ha..)

Beware. My wife purchased a new Simpson carbon, and in her 1st 30 minute SCCA E/P race with the new hat discovered the face shield totally fogged up. We returned the helmet and Simpson no charge provided an improved style.

Be safe out there.

Yes, that would be a problem. Fortunately, mine is open face. Wouldn't be good on a motorcycle, but I do have a windscreen.
