HELP radiator died today #1

Hello, after working on her for 3 weeks to get everything working correctly , the radiator gets a crack right under the fan thermostat you could put a penny in the crack (almost) . What radiator will work as an aftermarket radiator? or where is the cheapest place to get a replacement.

there's no readily available (Mustang, Subaru, etc) alternate that will fit properly.

First step...take rad out and see what cost is to fix.

Second step, see what Moss charges for replacement, order it from Chris Roop and save some money.

Step 3...don't touch the ebay Chinese alloy rads. Alloy radiators cannot be repaired by most radiator shops. They require tig welding, which is a more difficult process than soldering (given the structure of a radiator)..

I had big damage to my '71 MGB radiator on the lower tank (bottom). I purchased a used radiator cheap, sent both to the radiator shop and they replaced the damaged bottom tank with the one from the used radiator. At the same time they installed a bottom drain plug which the original radiator did not have. The radiator needed cleaning anyway so it was not a big deal.

is their any product that can be applied like water weld or jb weld that will hold?

Copper/brass tank? It can be brazed.
If not try radiator.com no tax free delivery quality radiators.
stock mid 60's 6 cylinder mustang radiator fits with a bit of easy fabrication 159bucks delivered.

There's a product over here, Plumbers mate, I think it's called.

It's a two part putty that you mix together and it sets even on a wet joint, and it would fix that easily.

I think it's made by Evo Stick so it should be available over there.

Take the time to understand what a part does and how it does it, then you'll have a better understanding of how to fix it when it goes wrong. Beats the scattergun approach every time.
