Remember this car from early July the $24,000 MGB http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MG-MGB-1970-MGB-/230818061597?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35bdd41d1d. Looks like it has come back to Earth with this new listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230827654057

Lost a digit! The car was painted by one of those who thought satin was the color of choice.

Looks like a liberal amount of bondo or some other post-factory body work on the front tip of the left side wing...

Guess that 25,000 bidder didn't pan out.

Worth it just for the bonnet trim.

Why do people paint their engine bays flat black? That's just nasty, nasty, nasty.

Yeah, something is definitely off with that left wing. On the "head on" shot of the front, you'll notice the hood and wing don't line up properly. Even more telling, the horizontal line running across the wings and hood lifts sharply at the driver's wing. Of course, the bumper pointing upward doesn't help it either... I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all until Mitch D's post, but now I can't not notice it!

Also, where does the vacuum advance connect to?

"it's old, its a sports car, I haven't seen one since high school. Its got to be worth a lot of money!"

Worth even more with tree growing up thru the floor boards.

I'm waiting for the next listing when the price drops to $1,500.

What's with the rear bumper? My '70 has the split bumper.

Take a look at the bidding history on the first listing. Original bidder was at $4000 and subsequent bidders were all with a bidding history of "0". Shell bidding???
