That is a great event. Huge plate of food and almost any car you can think of will be there. The money goes to help the local community if I remember correctly.

Yesterday I changed the oil & filters on both MGBs, adjusted the valves, and did a general once over. A little more cleaning up, and both will be ready for the show...or as ready as they ever are! Now I just need to convince my wife that she needs to drive one over at 6:30 Sunday morning...

C'mon Rod! I can't believe you are going to start both cars and drive a block!

Just push them over!

See you there! Still got some of that spruce beer?

77 MGB - Four tone paint - some kind of electronic ignition - hood props - cheap tires - new springs all around - mixture of poly and rubber bushings - original exhaust - fuzzy seatcovers - stereo out of old F150 pickup - virtually no rust - right front wrecked and semi well repaired - just about right for me!

78 MGB - Done right by a good PO, and I only bought it. Tell Jim how nice it is. But I did put in a Datsun 5 speed.

79/65 MGB - Tubby - Carmine Red - V-6 - T-5
Going to do this one more right, less rat rod!

Oooo that sounds tempting. I had some spruce tipped beer the other night. Interesting. I have Sunday off - and new tires! I will have to see if anyone wants to go with me!

Hey, it's almost 10 blocks!

I lifted the keg a couple days ago, and it's tough to tell! There's still some in there, and it could be a half glass or it could be three or four. I've been saving it for Sunday, and it will get polished off then by you and whoever else wanders over after the show. Still have quite a bit of the pale ale too.

Something else. They are doing road work on 99W between Amity and McMinnville, and I got a nice coating of tar on the tires of my GT this morning. Would suggest to anyone coming from the north to take the Dayton/Amity Hwy (233) instead of 18 and 99W through McMinnville.

It's about time they did SOMETHING to that highway. It was turning into a true cowpath.

Here are some photos from this morning. A number of forum members and Willamette GM Club members attended. Cars were scattered around the show, so I missed a few forum members' cars because they were gone by the time I got back with my camera. sad smiley

Yes, the Citroen isn't an LBC, but I had just to include it anyway.

Ahhhh! You changed the date and I STILL missed it! Major bummer! Those Citroens were the car of choice with French gangsters.

I wanted to talk to the owner of the Tiger, but never caught up with him. Last weekend we went to a show in McMinnville and the Tiger was there. I talked to him for a few minutes then, and mentioned the Amity show. Was glad to see he attended.

The E-Type was following my wife and I in her Mazda last night. I don't know the owner, but he must be local and was perhaps doing a little shakedown run the evening before the show.

Before next year's show I want to talk to the organizers and find out if there's any way we can get the British cars grouped together. There was a group of about five (the ones I didn't get photos of) that ended up together, but about ten others were scattered.

Get Lou on it. He's pretty good at getting the MGE people all in one spot!

Lou is up to his elbows in GT teardown, I hear! At the rate he goes at it, he should have the GT done and be available to help next year though!

That 4th pic looks like "Ole Fat Dog's" car. One of these years life will slow down enough for us to come down and enjoy your show and hospitality. Looks like a great time!

Paul, life does not slow down. If anything, it speeds up. You have to rein it in and demand that you get to do certain things. Trust me.

Yep, sure is! Ole Fat Dog came over to our place for lunch after the show, along with his driver of course!

I missed it, thought that it was going to be next weekend. Been very busy the last few weeks and lost track of time. Just emailed Rod about it and then saw his post. DUH!
