In reply to # 2121371 by 80MGBLE So what was your reasoning behind getting on here and spewing BS about people that tried to help a guy put a windshield in his car when they didn't want to in the first place without you having all the facts?
People like you are ignorant and dangerous. Once again the low intellect "mob" was getting whipped into a frenzy.

Chill out, I never noticed the shop's name mentioned so no harm done.

Don't know how that happened but I have a buddy that does glass and he has told me several times that installing glass in a MGB is a trick and you have to know the in's and out's of doing it or the glass breaks.

You might want to pay a glass installer, off shift, to do it for you but check first if he knows the tricks and has installed many of these.

Just looks like a little communications issue here that got resolved. Whats the big deal?

Firstly, I take issue with being referred to as "Low Intellect Mob". If you honestly believe a crowd of MGE'ers are going to storm this business with pitchforks then your intellect is what is lacking. Many people like to imagine such a thing taking place but it does not happen in the real world.

Secondly the "I just don't swim in the mud around here" comment IS taking a moral high ground.

This thread was just fine with some good natured humor and more importantly financial help if required, that is until you chimed in with your veciferous comments.

Please, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything.

You sir, are a chronic irritant to many MGB owners, like a mosquito that won't go away. Your post here prompted emails and phone calls to me from FIVE members, forewarning me "he's spitting barbed wire at you again Marco!"

I wrote a human interest article relevant to this forum's purpose - the MGB automobile, because I like to write and I am damn good at it. There were NO solicitations for financial or material help. The upholstery "shop" involved would never, ever be patronized by a non-Haitian. I also posted that my friend's problem is OVER, FINI. Your ridiculous spiel reminds me of how you bad-mouthed my AWARD WINNING (and now proven voyager) GT ... well, I'm having the last laugh.

A strong laxative was suggested above; I'm suggesting a frontal lobotomy.

Hi Drake, Kristy's '73 "Errol" is somehow slugging along @300 miles a week up and down the Front Range, oil leaks, groans and clunks and all hehe ... thanks for asking smiling smiley

I don't claim any moral high ground, I just don't swim in the mud around here.

Well most of us are happy little mudlarks, I'm sorry that you are not.

Wow.

Fire off an ad hominem first and follow it with an ad mobinem.

That's a pretty big chunk of moral high ground you're trying to claim.

No - you apparently have your very own mud to swim around in.

Had 12 inches of rain in one night, Hurricane Camille?, at the Philadelphia Folk Festival probably 1970?, don't recall who sang this one.

Had the car pulled out half a dozen times with a tractor hired by the Festival. mud was ankle deep everywhere.

Sounds like Pete Seeger, Bill Steele? but may have been one of the other classic folkies then..

My friend lived not too far, had the Iris 63 B that needed my skills and a gallon of WD 40, I met his mechanic friend Steve and we survived the mud and flood.
