Hi I have a 1974 chrome bumper car and i am wanting to replace the front wing, is there any difference in a wing that has come of a 1976 rubber bumper car?

Thanks

You need to get Chrome bumper front wings,There are differant types for differant years as the indicator aperture moves next to the grill, On the rubber bumper it just an opening, Is the car a GT or Roadster as the wing has a slot for the screan to fix in,.

Alternatively, what about these ? Look interesting, unless you are purist for originality.

Not sure about VeeBee - looks a little VW to me.

Is the turn indicator aperture the only difference between the chrome and rubber bumper MGB GT front Wings?

Thanks,

I believe they are differences between rubber and chrome, not only the turn signal lamp, but also the bumper itself. If you are planning to replace one for another, be prepare to do some metal work.

Andrew.

If you can't find a deal on a chrome bumper fender, but have found a rubber bumper one, then go for it.

From 69 onwards the only difference is that the rubber bumper car doesn't have the turn signal cut out and is missing a chunk to clear the bumper bracket. This is pretty easy to modify by cutting out the turn signal hole and patching the missing lower bit with flat sheet.

I have the opposite situation: I have a rubber bumper GT and found chrome bumper fenders. So I would have to do the mods to close the turn indicator and bumper holes.

Would any modifications be needed for the side marker lights? Would the cut outs already be in a 69 onwards fender?

The side markers don't change location from 1970 to the end of production.
