Good Morning,

My 1979 MGB needs a cover outside weather conditions western pa.

Just been told I have to move my car out of the garage, my landlord rents the apt above the garage and the insurance co says to cars below....

So its cover time, can anyone suggest a good outside all weather cover...no water to sit under cover??? and develop rust...

Tks

Lori Ann

Check out www.covercraft.com. They were one of the sponsors/stops on the Hot Rod Power Tour. I'm not easily impressed, but this company impressed me. Key points:

1. Covers are 100% made in USA.
2. Quality, fit, & finish (material weight, stitchnig, etc.) was all very good.
3. Already have a pattern for MGB's & have made several.
4. Privately owned company & everyone I talked with there commented about how much they treated the employees like family.
5. May not be valuable to you, but they're more than happy to do custom mods (as an example, they told me they'd have no problem adding 6" to the width at the rear & 4" at the front so my flares fit as well as to do pockets for my mirrors -- even sending it to me w/o the pockets, let me mark where they need to go when it's on the car, send it back & they'd then add the pockets & send back to me.)

Net, it's a company I made a mental note that is the type of company I want to support.

I am a veteran of outdoor car storage and I have tried many covers, tarps, cover/tarp combinations.
Of course with 5 or so cars I am interested in a good price as well as quality.
The cover on ebay that Steve posted is by far the best one out there for the money. And that price includes shipping.
Its waterproof and has a nice soft lining.
I now have 4 of these. they are much better than covers I have spent over $100 for.
I have not yet had to put in a warranty claim, hopefully they will stand behind the product.

Glad to help. I don't think you will be disappointed.
I was buying that blue cover from Auto Barn or one of those places and spending
over 40 bucks for them, only last about a year, no comparison.

Go to site, type in MG or MGB in search and covers for those should come up in a variety
of flavors, . Look for the Waterproof with lining which should be either their 4 layer or 5 layer cover.
Make sure you pick the Waterproof one.
They are not form fitted to the mgb but the fit it good and have a draw string at the front
to tighten it up once on the car.
I have both a 4 and 5 layer with the fleese lining but I do not see much difference between them so I would save a few dollars and get the 4 layer.
Just my opinion.

The Covercraft Weathershield is the best I have found for my motorcycles. They have lasted over 6 years in the Arizona sun, where I am lucky to get two years out of anything else I have tried.

Good Morning

Steve/ Mike

Looks like I just buy the one thats listed at $$54.00 special on e-bay.....and just use it ....it seems that when i put in
the MGB model it quotes the price of $$189.00..

Thats a far cry from $$ 54.00

And just use tie downs to hold her down...yes??
