After retrimming the seats I found a company in UK who custom make shift and hanbrake gaitors so I ordered some with red stitching to match the seats. Here is a shot.
Interestingly when I removed the shifter knob with O/D switch I found the red wire had damaged insulation and could have been causing my intermittant 0/d problems so I may have now permanently fixed it.

even though I'm an total metal dash fan,
Nice.
footwells beautifully finished, mine are sloppy.
Seats, just right.
the detail of the matching stitching on the handbrake and gear lever gaiters makes me jealous.
The big mark one MG symbol on the steering wheel makes me think I'm going to put one on mine.

Ha - it did for me. I'm originally from the UK. My first few times driving on the left hand side of the road, I was constantly slamming my left hand into the door every time I wanted to change gear. Worse than that though, I was driving an automatic! eye rolling smiley

Chris - those look really great - any chance you can share the company name?

Peter - if you have the Moto-Lita style hub, then MGOCspares.co.uk has the "Classic" horn push - a bit pricey, but I thought it was worth it (scroll to near the bottom of this link):

Chris beatiful interior. Is the red center steering wheel MG motif from Victoria British pg.122 #62?? My hub will accept it I think.

Very nice - I wish they had kept the contrasting piping through the entire production run, it is very classy looking.

Looks reaaly great, it's nice to see a tidy interior! That would be a rare dash in Australia, a USA dash converted for Aussie use. Is your vehicle a late 70's import? Keep up the good work, Mike

Ex Californian car imported in 1996. Absolutely no rust anywhere (as far as I can see)

Nice job Chris, only 4 more days, and the Sun will start heading for the Southern Hemisphere, which will allow you to enjoy all that Winter work.

1968 MGB Purchased already dis-assembled which is why I'm often ignorant about what some parts are, and even more ignorant of where they go.

Thanks Chris V - will look up those gaiters. Any chance to get some more photos of your interior? Was looking at your car on the registry and she looks really sharp.

Thanks for the compliment Paul (awesome avatar by the way!) - it's a 15" dished Moto-Lita Mark 4. There is a guy on eBay in the UK called Bryan Jones (classicsteeringwheels) who sells them - great guy - I can really reccommend him.

Chris and Mike, your interiors are awesome!

I've owned a 66B for about 24 hours now! It has a ugly, skinny steering wheel (with a missing turn signal), that HAS to go.

So I'm wondering...what the heck is moto-lita, and how do I know if I have one?

Thank you!
