Take the time to understand what a part does and how it does it, then you'll have a better understanding of how to fix it when it goes wrong. Beats the scattergun approach every time.

I like that! How many of those were made? I'm guessing not many.

Jensen Healey to be exact.

2 liter Lotus engine with DOHC and all the implied reliability. Actually sold well in the US, so not that rare unless you want original.

Very few of those Jensen GT's were made. They're pretty decent cars . . . if you can get over the massive front bumper. I've seen a few at British car shows and always liked them. Not sure about parts and service availability on a car which sold so little.
I'd hate to have to find replacement glass or body panels for it.

Jensen-Healey GT, about 18 years ago, the shop I was managing rebuilt the engine in a '73 convertible. Much prettier without the big rubber bumper. The car belonged to a friend's daughter and I drove it on several occasions. Quick car, nice balanced handling, decent ride. On my list of cars I'd like to own. If I remember correctly we sourced a lot of the harder to find items from Delta Motorsports out of Phoenix. Very knowledgeable and easy to deal with as I remember.

There was a GT for sale near Chicago about the same time I picked up my BGT.

Healey was out when the GT came along. It was the Jensen GT.

That is one butt ugly motor..... So much better as a convertable and without the bumper, does it retract with the push of a button? Now that would be someting.
